Road Closure, Detour Announced In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police are advising residents of a road closure that will be in effect starting Monday, March 30, in Wallingford.

Police said starting March 30 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with “operations continuing over the next several months as part of a gas pipeline enhancement project in Wallingford.”

The work will be done in the areas of Washington Street, Parker Street, and Silk Street.

Washington Street will be closed between Silk Street and Parker Street, according to police.

• Clearly marked detours and warning signs throughout the area
• Assistance with school bus traffic during construction hours
• Increased construction activity—please use caution when traveling nearby

The Senior Center will remain OPEN, accessible from the Hall Avenue side via Silk St and Washington St
