Road Closures Announced For Celebration Event In Wallingford

Police announce road closures and parking prohibitions that will be in effect for the Seasons of Celebration and Tree Lighting Ceremony.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police have announced road closures and parking prohibitions that will be in effect due to the Seasons of Celebration Event and Tree Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the Wallingford Public Celebrations Committee, on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Road Closures are as follows:

South Main Street will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of Center Street and the intersection of Prince Street, on Saturday, Dec. 1, between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Hall Avenue will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between the intersection of North Colony Road (Rt. 5) and east of the Amtrak railroad crossing, on Saturday, Dec. 1, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

In anticipation of the road closures, there will be no parking on South Main Street between Center Street and Prince Street beginning at 11:30 a.m. and for the duration of the event, and no parking on Hall Avenue east of the Amtrak railroad crossing beginning at 5 p.m. for the duration of the ceremony. Please be reminded that vehicles parked in violation of this prohibition will be subject to the issuance of a parking ticket by police and removal by tow truck.
