Sandwich Shop Closes In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — A sandwich shop has closed a little more than a year after opening on Route 5 in Wallingford. Panini Dee’s announced the decision to close earlier this week on Facebook.

Panini Dee’s opened at 850 South Colony Road last January, according to its Facebook page. The sandwich shop offered 15 signature paninis along with salads, subs and desserts. (To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

“It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the closure of Panini Dee's,” Panini Dee’s said in a post on Facebook. “Our store will be permanently closed from here into the foreseeable future. We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has supported us for the past year. It was amazing to meet so many friendly faces and just know that we will miss you dearly. Thank you all again for your support, we hope you enjoyed your sandwiches!”
