Speeding Driver Found With Drugs, Knives During Stop: Wallingford PD
A man was arrested after police said he was found to be in the possession of drugs and knives during a traffic stop.
WALLINGFORD, CT — An East Haddam man was recently arrested after police said he was found to be in the possession of drugs and knives during a traffic stop in Wallingford.
Police conducted a traffic stop on June 18 on a Toyota Camry on Toelles Road for speeding, according to officials.
“Officers developed probable cause to believe contraband was located within the car,” police wrote in a news release. “After further investigation, officers discovered a quantity of methamphetamine, 17 grams of crack cocaine, 13 clonazepam pills, an accudigital scale, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, a knife with a blade over 4 inches in length, and two spring-loaded knives.”

Daniel Winslow, 49, of East Haddam, was arrested on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of plates, no insurance, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, disobeying an officer’s signal, possession with intent to sell narcotics, use of drug paraphernalia, weapons in a motor vehicle. He was released after posting a $20,000 bond with a court date of July 9.
