Stellar Wallingford Senior Caregiver Wins $5,000 from Employer
Donna Reynolds Presented with Monthly Platinum Caregiver Award from Assisted Living Services, Inc.

Helping seniors thrive has deep bloodlines for Wallingford resident Donna Reynolds. The former hairstylist decided to change careers and become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) after caring for her elderly mother. She joined the staff at Assisted Living Services, Inc. (ALS) in 2013 and nearly a decade later, is being recognized for her dedication to providing exceptional care to her clients. The family-owned, homecare agency recently presented Reynolds with a $5,000 check for being selected as the Platinum Caregiver Award winner for October, 2021.
“Donna has taken her passion and made it her profession by delivering top-quality care to her 95 year-old client Georgianna Schupp for nearly two years,” said Mario D’Aquila, Chief Operating Officer of ALS. “She is adored by everyone in our organization and we are ecstatic to recognize her with this most prestigious distinction.”
D’Aquila was joined by ALS Director of Marketing and Hourly Services Lynne Talbot, ALS Co-Owner Ron D’Aquila and ALS Hourly Manager Tina Carbone when they surprised Reynolds at Schupp’s Cheshire home.

In addition to a check in the amount of $5,000, the monthly Platinum Caregiver Award includes a beautiful crystal statue and a certificate of merit. To select the winning caregiver each month, ALS clients are called at random by Homecare Pulse, a third-party survey company that measures customer satisfaction. Clients or family members rate the services and quality of care that is being provided and have the opportunity to mention caregivers who went “above and beyond” when caring for them or their loved one.
Reynolds has been employed with ALS since December 2013. Caring for seniors in their own homes is about striking that intuitive balance between being there for support, while providing enough space to enable them to go on enjoying their normal daily routines.
“There is nothing better than giving back to the employees that exceed their call of duty,” adds D’Aquila. “Donna certainly exemplifies this factor each and every day.”
