Stolen Gun Seized From Convicted Felon: Wallingford Police
Police said detectives received information concerning the theft of a firearm while investigating a cold case from 1988.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford police seized a stolen gun from a convicted felon following an investigation that led them to Milford, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.
“While in the course of investigating a cold case from 1988, Wallingford Police Detectives received information concerning the theft of a firearm,” Jaques wrote in a news release. “After an investigation, probable cause was developed that Mark Vincent, who is a convicted felon, had stolen and was currently in possession of a handgun.”
Wallingford detectives obtained a search-and-seizure warrant and found Mark Vincent at the Milford Christian Church, according to Jaques.

Following a search, detectives found a Ruger LCP .380 handgun and ammunition in Vincent’s possession, Jaques said.
Vincent, 65, whose last known address is Johnson, Vermont, was arrested with the assistance of the Milford Police Department, according to Jaques.

Vincent was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and one count of theft of a firearm. He was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
