Storm in Wallingford, McKenna Court 5-15-2018

Very bad storm today. Came around 4 PM. Rain pouring, then my lights flickered and computer went off. This happened about 3 times. I went to the front of my unit and there were big tree branches hanging from my unit roof on the left side as you come out.

Across from my left side entrance was a tall light pole that goes on only at night that was laying on the grass and the light was on, glowing. There were also tree branches near the light pole. I called Wallingford Electric and was on hold for about 10 minutes and I hung up. I called housing to tell them about the pole that fell down with the light on.. I was concerned that the wires might catch on fire or whatever.. I did hear that someone from housing came out but the light was still on then. Now 7:40 PM it is not.

Some tile fell of the roof of some of the units I took a picture of the unit missing tile. I am aware of two unit roofs this has happened to but I am sure there are more with missing roof tile.

I went to look at my car today. Last October tree branches fell down on my car and wrecked my front windshield, bent my roof and dented most of the left side of my car. I was not insured for any of this, I have a good driving record and hare insurance required on my that got damaged by a tree. The windshield is now fixed with the help of one of my neighbors who collected money to help me fix my car plus my own money..Housing did not pay they said it was "and act of God'. It was this tree on their property. It is a good thing I did not park near that side of the fence today because a big part of that tree branch broke and is now leaning on the fence over into the neighbors yard. I took pictures of the big tree branch on the fence

I am happy it stopped raining and I still have my electric power. I do understand that electric companies have a lot to do in storms like this including down trees and power outages. Police and Firefighter also have a dangerous job and I guess anyone who works for the town.

I pray for all those who have to be on duty on these jobs and also in hospitals on days like this.

God is good & I am blessed.
