Surveillance At Hotel Leads To Woman’s Arrest On Drug Charges: Wallingford PD

The woman, who had several outstanding arrest warrants, was arrested after K-9 Kip helped sniff out the drug bust, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A woman suspected of selling drugs in Wallingford was arrested on drug charges and several outstanding warrants after a traffic stop on Sunday, according to police.

The Wallingford Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit recently received information about a woman staying at the Homewood Suites in Wallingford, who was possibly involved in the sale of illegal drugs, according to Police Chief John Ventura.

Ventura said the unit conducted surveillance at the hotel and identified the suspect as 40-year-old Madeline Dominello.

A search and seizure warrant was obtained for Dominello, and Wallingford patrol officers and Crime Suppression Unit members found her traveling on Route 68 in Wallingford on Feb. 1, according to Ventura.

Ventura said a motor vehicle stop was conducted, and Dominello was identified as the sole occupant of the vehicle.

“Wallingford Police K-9 Kip was deployed and alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle,” Ventura wrote in a news release. “A subsequent search uncovered 12 grams of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and clonazepam.”

Dominello was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. She also had four active arrest warrants and was charged with three counts of second-degree failure to appear and one count of violation of probation. She was held in lieu of bonds totaling $74,000 with a court date of Feb. 13.
