AT&T brings It Can Wait program to Sheehan HS
Distracted driving awareness program encourages drivers to put their phones down while behind the wheel
WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut state Rep. Craig Fishbein joined AT&T Connecticut on Friday to bring AT&T's "It Can Wait" distracted driving program to students at Sheehan High School.
Students were led in an interactive discussion about the dangers of distracted driving, and watched a powerful documentary presented by AT&T that shows the potentially deadly consequences of glancing at your phone while behind the wheel.
Wednesday's event was part of AT&T's national "It Can Wait" campaign, which has encouraged more than than 11 million people around the world to never text and drive.
