Teen, 15, Burglarized Archie Moore’s, Liquor Store: Wallingford Police

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with recent burglaries at Archie Moore's and a package store in Wallingford, police said.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with recent burglaries at Archie Moore’s and a downtown package store in Wallingford, according to police.

Police responded to Dragonfly Wine and Spirits at 382 Center St. on May 2 for a reported burglary. Officers found that someone had smashed through the front window using a fire extinguisher to steal several bottles of liquor within the store, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Police investigated a reported burglary at Archie Moore’s, 39 North Main St., on May 10. Officers found that someone had kicked in the basement doors to the business in order to steal several cases of ginger ale soda, according to Jaques.

Jaques said the juvenile was arrested in connection with both burglaries following an investigation.

The juvenile was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, and two counts of third-degree criminal mischief. He was scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Thursday, May 11.
