Teen Found With Drugs, Alcohol, BB Gun After Wallingford Search: Cops

Officers responded to Center Street in Wallingford after a resident said they spotted the teen hiding in the bushes, police said.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A 17-year-old is facing numerous charges after authorities found him in possession of multiple drugs, alcohol and a BB gun following a Friday search in Wallingford.

According to police, officers were called to 463 Center St. after a caller reported seeing the teen wearing all black, carrying a backpack and hiding in a bush. By the time officers arrived, the teen had left, police said; however, authorities later found him on Simpson Avenue without the backpack.

According to police, the backpack was recovered nearby. In it, officers found a BB gun resembling a Glock firearm, 115 Xanax pills, 23 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 3.4 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, baggies, a bottle of Hennessy, a bottle of Tito’s vodka and a Nyquil bottle filled with whiskey, according to authorities.

The teen was taken into custody and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession with intent to sell a controlled substance and hallucinogenics.

The teen is scheduled to appear in court on July 6.
