Veteran’s Memorial Vandalized; Reward Offered For Arrest: Wallingford PD
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the "reprehensible acts," police said.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Police are investigating and offering a reward for information related to the recent vandalism of the Veteran’s Memorial at Dutton Park.
The Veteran’s Memorial at Dutton Park on North Main Street has been vandalized on two separate occasions, according to Wallingford Police Chief John Ventura.
“This memorial is to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy on a daily basis,” Ventura wrote in a news release. “The deliberate and disgraceful attack on the memory of these heroes will not be tolerated nor will the hateful rhetoric that members of the Wallingford Community have been exposed to.”
