Wallingford Adjusts False Alarm Ordinance

Wallingford Police announce fines for false alarms and remind residents and business owners they are required to register their alarms.

The Wallingford Police Department would like to inform all residents of the town of Wallingford of a change to Chapter 59, “Alarms”, of the town Ordinance.

Beginning July 12, 2016, an alarm user will not incur a fine for the first three false alarms of any one calendar year, however, the alarm user will be fined $50 for the fourth and subsequent false alarms transmitted within any one calendar year.

The Wallingford Police Department would like to remind all residents and business owners that they are required to register their alarm with the police department. There is a $100 fine for the failure to register.

Registration forms may be picked up at the Wallingford Police Department.
