Wallingford Approves Changes in Winery Regulations

The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved several amendments to the regulations following years of debate.

Wallingford, CT —After several years of debate and application changes, the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved amendments to Wallingford’s winery regulations to allow limited number of special events, music and the sale of prepackaged food under certain conditions, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that Paradise Hills Vineyard & Winery made significant changes and compromises to its original application. The town issued the winery a cease-and-desist order back in 2013.

Under the new winery regulations, via the Record-Journal, the sale of cold, pre-packed food is allowed, along with up to four special events a year, live and commercially available background music inside and unamplified live music outside no more than twice a week.
