Wallingford Sets Last Day Of School For Students

The Wallingford Board of Education approved a change in the 2025-26 school calendar at its meeting this week.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Board of Education approved reducing the number of student days from 183 to 182 for the 2025-26 school year at its meeting on Monday night.

The change makes the last day of school for students Thursday, June 18, which will be an early-release day for students and staff, according to Superintendent of Schools Danielle Bellizzi.

The high school graduation ceremonies will take place on Thursday, June 18, according to Bellizzi.

Bellizzi said Friday, June 19, will be a professional development day for staff, and Monday, June 22, will be the last day for staff.

The original projected last day for students had been June 15, before the snow days over the winter.

“We recognize that changes to the school calendar may require adjustments for families, and we sincerely appreciate your flexibility and understanding,” Bellizzi wrote in a message to families. “We encourage you to update your plans accordingly to reflect the new end-of-year dates.

“If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We thank you for your continued partnership and support.”
