Wallingford Council Chairman Cited for Driving Past Stopped School Bus: Report
The incident was first reported to a Facebook forum before police, causing a commotion.

Wallingford Town Council Chairman Vincent Cervoni was issued a citation Friday for allegedly driving past a stopped bus at Sheehan High School in an incident that has caused a commotion on Facebook, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
Cervoni, a Republican seeking re-election, told the Record-Journal that he pulled into Sheehan’s driveway around 2 p.m. on Oct. 16 and saw buses lined up but didn’t see students walking along the sidewalk and parked his car and went inside to coach the school’s mock trial team.
Cervoni later discovered that the bus driver posted the incident to a Facebook community forum where it exploded and a separate thread was created asking if elected officials receive special treatment, according to the Record-Journal.
