Karen E. (Donnelly) Kazmerzyk, 83, died March 5, 2026. She was a longtime preschool teacher who brought warmth, humor, and a nurturing spirit to her work with young children, where her patience and playful energy made her a steady and welcoming presence for students and their families.

Charlene Hopperstad, 74, died March 8, 2026. She was a medical insurance billing administrator, real estate agent, and licensed pharmacy technician who enjoyed travel to historic sites, music and choir singing, equestrian interests, lifelong learning, and competed on Jeopardy!.

Harriet Ruth Goldberg, 79, died March 12, 2026. She was an elementary school teacher who later taught in the Adult Education program in Wallingford and, in retirement, enjoyed playing cards at the senior center and bingo with friends.

Paul Sandberg, 81, died March 15, 2026, was a social worker with the Connecticut Department of Disability Services for 37 years and a former choir member during college, who enjoyed reading history and politics, photography, tent camping, fishing, birding, and was an active member of the Wallingford Community Garden for 25 years.

Richard Andrew “Richie the Barber” Dagliere Sr., 84, died March 16, 2026. He was a barber for more than 60 years who owned and operated Richard’s Barber Shop, and enjoyed cars, music, and dancing with his wife.

Joseph H. Kossar, 89, died March 20, 2026. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he partook in several business ventures, was involved with St. Nicholas Byzantine Greek Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, and was an avid outdoorsman.

Walter George Bilyak, 88, died March 23, 2026. He was a National Guard veteran and longtime employee of Wallingford Steel Co. who also worked as an auto body painter, and was an accomplished athlete and sports enthusiast who enjoyed basketball, racquetball, tennis, swimming, following professional and college teams, painting, travel, and time at home with good food.

Rosa Garcia, 52, died March 25, 2026. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she worked in the housekeeping department at Choate Rosemary Hall for several years.

Paul Richard Robinson, 96, died March 29, 2026. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a dedicated sales manager for Star Distributors for 40 years, and enjoyed playing golf and cards with his close friends.
