Wallingford Doctor Charged In Murder For Hire Plot: Reports
A doctor facing drug & health care fraud charges is accused of trying to hire a member of the Hells Angels to kill a potential trial witness
WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford doctor facing federal drug and health care fraud charges is accused of trying to hire a member of the Hells Angels to kill a potential witness at his upcoming trial, according to multiple reports.
Dr. Anatoly Braylovsky, 50, was arrested last June after authorities said he sold opioid prescriptions for cash. Braylovsky is an internal medicine physician who has operated the Family Practice of Greater New Haven, located on North Main Street in Wallingford.
The federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wallingford Police Department started receiving complaints about Braylovsky's prescribing practices in 2014, officials said.

Prosecutors said Medicare and Medicaid paid more than $1.6 million between January 2016 and May 2020 for medication, including oxycodone, prescribed by Braylovsky.
The New York Post reported Braylovsky, who was out on bond, was charged last week with obstruction of justice after authorities said he asked for help with intimidating or killing a witness who planned to testify at his upcoming trial.

The FBI received a tip two weeks ago from someone who said Braylovsky contacted them asking for help with witnesses who would testify against him. Braylovsky reportedly told the person that the five days he spent in jail after his initial arrest were the “worst five days of his life” and didn’t want to go back, according to the New York Post.
The Daily Beast reported Braylovsky believed the tipster had a connection with the president of the Hells Angels. Braylovsky asked the tipster if they would talk to them and specifically referenced “a guy who was mic’d up” that would testify against him and said “This guy’s gotta go,” according to the Daily Beast.
An undercover FBI agent later arranged to meet with Braylovsky at a nearby Home Depot to discuss the plot, the Daily Beast reported.
