The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Economic Growth is needed to fuel Wallingford's future. We need to attract more traditional and emerging industry, but to do that we need to break the cycle of good enough and update and maintain what we have to attract families and business. Wallingford grand list of business has steadily shrunk and to grow it we need leaders that are willing to step out of town and talk to potential developers.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I see the world for what it is and a complicated place that needs more people that are willing to work with everyone and not just tow a single parties line.
Accomplishments:
I have been a skilled and successful tradesman for more than thirty years. I have run or helped run conservation, hunting and been an activist that has helped pass many pieces of legislation that involved getting both parties to work together. At work, and I manage construction projects both large and small. Deadlines and production are nothing new and I feel that the mindset of a builder is what is needed for Wallingford to shine.
Other issues:
Making Wallingford a place to raise a family and then retire and watch your children and grandchildren thrive in the town you love is worth my time and efforts. Efficient and modern police and emergency and town services are also at the top of the list.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I fully intend to see Wallingford grow like it did when my parents moved here to escape city life. Wallingford was a growing community and that has been allowed to slowly slip into disrepair. The cycle of good enough or wait till it breaks to fix it must stop.
