The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

One of the pressing issues facing our education is the physical state of the facilities. As a BOE member, I intend to listen to students, parents and the community, and as well as study the information gathered (and consider the state requirements) to move forward with a plan.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I have been in the field of education 25+ years. I fully support the other candidates on the slate because of any differences. It allows us to have different perspectives when problem solving.

Accomplishments:

I have worked with students and parents and educators for over 25 years. I have been a part of curriculum review and implementation. I have also taught graduate level courses which gives me a full picture of education into post secondary demands and requirements.

Other issues:

-Equity for ALL students in our district -Student success being defined by meeting standards -Variety of opportunities offered for students to choose from many post secondary options

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I believe in listening to people's needs and concerns in order to make learning the focus of our education system. I want to hear from students and parents and the community to understand what they consider to be the educational needs.
