Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
N/A
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
No
Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
By running, I can take my core principles of honesty, integrity, and trust and apply those to the elements of town government that I hope to affect by being part of this year’s elections in a town that I love. All this while maintaining respect and decorum with all parties involved.
I have two qualities that I pride myself on, one, the ability to listen, and two, the ability to think outside the box when solving problems by applying practical technology solutions (if appropriate) that can drive efficiencies in all aspects of local government.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.
To maintain low taxes. I plan on working with all aspects of local government to find ways to optimize processes and procedures with the practical applications of technology.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Leadership & technology skills. I have one of the most successful businesses (>$1b) in Information Technology services delivery to the US Federal Government today. I use the daily lessons learned as a United States Marine to "lead, follow, or get out of the way".
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Modernization. My goal is to have developed and started acting on a 2 year, a 5 year, and a 10 year technology infrastructure plan for the town of Wallingford.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have spent my entire career, winning numerous awards, in developing and deploying solutions for all types of large business and governments. I have vision. I am able to start with a blank or an unfinished canvas and show elegant solutions.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
"Don't look backwards, always look forwards."
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am also a dog whisperer :)
