Currently serving 2nd term on the Wallingford Town Council, former Zoning Board of Appeals commissioner, former Vice Chair of the Charter Revision Commission, former Vice Chair of the Wallingford Republican Town Committee

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I hope that my first two terms on the Town Council have proven that I stand up for what the residents and businesses in Wallingford need. I am willing to question the status quo, to ask the tough questions, and to put in the time and work required to address the issues that affect our daily lives. With the changes coming in the administration this next term, I hope that my consistency will be a positive for the town.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Finances. I plan to continue to critique each budget line by line, questioning every expenditure and ensuring that our tax dollars are being spent in the most effective way possible. Previously, my budget plans have lowered the mill rate and kept taxes affordable, without affecting services.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am very results-oriented. I have no allegiance to any special interests, and I only work for the people. I believe that the government is here to serve the people, and not the other way around. Therefore, my focus is on finding solutions that work for our residents and businesses, without the rhetoric. For example, my resolution to install air conditioning in the animal shelter passed unanimously, and it didn't cost taxpayers a dime.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

My priorities are keeping Wallingford safe, affordable, and business-friendly. We have to do better with maintenance of town properties and infrastructure, and this will be a focus of the next term.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I view every election as a report card on how I have done in the previous terms. If the voters think I have done a good job, I would humbly ask for their support by voting for me for a second term. I hope I have earned the trust of the residents of Wallingford to continue to represent them on the Town Council.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

"You have two ears and one mouth for a reason." My grandfather used to say this to stress the importance of listening to others. I hope the people of Wallingford see me as someone who truly listens to them.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

To be your voice on the Council is a responsibility I don't take lightly, and it has been my honor to represent you these past two terms. I hope I have earned your support for another term.
