What is your occupation?

Retired

Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.

My wife Amy and two adult children, Garrett and Chloé. They also adopted 2 rescue animals a dog named Rambo and a guinea pig named Ushi. Vernon Stancuna 55 years old. Vernon is my brother and also a lifer resident of Wallingford since birth. He is a successful entrepreneur made most money of his money with the bike business in the 90s. Now chills out with his DeLorean and travels to Columbia frequently.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

Patricia Carruthers my Mother was on Zoning Board Of Appeals in Wallingford and successful Attorney Alumni Uconn Law School. She retired after being an educator 28 years in Wallingford. Also was a child advocate and enjoyed politics.

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

Yes I served on the board for 10 years and President 4 years at Olde Village Circle Condominium Association in Wallingford. Still a resident there for almost 24 years.

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I am seeking office again for Wallingford Town Council because nothing is getting done and lots of in house fighting going on in the Council with ethic charges and hostile environment. It's not fair to the residents of Wallingford and they aren't getting anything done. The obsession with re-opening the Community Pool to ignoring police brutality and hiding these issues by ignoring my application for a civilian review board on the police that we don't have and not responding to my requests with no responses. Wallingford Town Hall has been corrupt for decades having one Mayor for 40 years and Parisi was terrible Town Council that taught Cervoni and them wrong way to lead. I have to lead them to listening and working for the public with their ideas not the Councilors personal ones. I will bring peace up there and clean Town Hall by laying off half the employees and having bill paying as everyone is requesting that don't need all the people in there and artificial Intelligence will do the rest and save the tax payers money drastically. We need a much smaller Town Hall and close the door on the bad history of Wallingford of 40 years. We need to keep the current police station at the armory and reduce the police force by 25 %. We need to move adult education into a part of the armory. Community pool would be turned into a affordable medical clinic/homeless shelter and skateboard park for the youths. Summer time annual fun with big named southern rock bands up on the town green.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

None of them mention the corruption within Wallingford departments. I intend to audit each department and sit in at their line of work and write evaluations and recommendations to the public. That being riding all three shifts with the Wallingford Police and other Town Employees. Too much corruption at the Town Hall and have to clean it up.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The other Candidates will give false promises knowing it isn't happening. I won't allow the in house fighting and let people speak as long as the public wants on questions and answers. We need to not allow hunting beer or any other animals in Wallingford.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way do you believe the current officeholder has failed the community?

Promises of reopening the community pool. We all know it's been a financial disaster from the beginning and one has to wonder why they kept the pool closed for all these years. We need a Cannibas store downtown and none of them mention.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Recruiting a group to help me with a civilian review board on the police. Also majority of votes brought to the people for they supposed to have the last say and don’t.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I retired at 46 and know how to diffuse and get things done. The fat I want to trim will save millions of dollars with laying off lots of people in many departments with too many people looking around watching the clock or hiding behind buildings with police cars til shift is over. I know how to check every rock to see what we can find to save the tax payers money.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

To be honest and have integrity.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

We need Town Hall and Police department cleaned up ! It's been way over due and desperate times! Vote for me and I promise to do everything I can to save our residents money with reducing taxes and eliminating corruption.
