Family in government: No.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Our deteriorating infrastructure. We need to make strategic investments in our roads, sidewalks, town buildings, other infrastructure components, and to remain competitive with neighboring towns in attracting businesses and families to Wallingford.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I believe candidates on both sides of the aisle have more commonalities than differences, particularly when it comes to this town we love and want to serve. However, I feel that my significant professional experience in the legal, investment and finance sectors, my time serving on the Board of Directors (and as Treasurer) for the Women and Families Center of Connecticut, and my experience managing campaigns has uniquely prepared me for this opportunity.

Accomplishments:

I put myself through law school at night while living and working full-time in Manhattan at the U.S. headquarters of a Bahraini investment firm/family office. In 2012, I spent several months in Bahrain, teaching multi-family residential real estate development and closing processes to the fund's legal department. At every turn, I prioritized my goals, and have been able to achieve success in my career.

Other issues:

Exploring tax relief options for our aging and elderly population. Focusing on public safety and supporting our police and first responders. Identifying ways to attract business development and to grow our grand list.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I am no stranger to, nor am I afraid of, hard work. I will always put the best interests of Wallingford and our residents first. If elected, I will work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make Wallingford the best it can be.
