Wallingford To Hold Graduation Ceremonies In July
The Wallingford Board of Education has approved holding some sort of in-person graduation ceremony in July.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford will hold graduation ceremonies for seniors at both high schools in July, but what those ceremonies will look like still needs to be determined.
The Meriden Record-Journal reports the Board of Education this week approved holding commencement during the first two weeks of July and students will be polled on what type of in-person graduation ceremony they want to see held.
A survey that was sent last week to students and parents showed little support for a virtual ceremony, while a drive-up ceremony received 49-percent support from responders and delaying the ceremony until August garnered 43-percent support, according to the Record-Journal. The next survey will only be for students.
