Wallingford Liquor Store Closes, Tool Shop To Follow Suit
The medical group that purchased the property two years ago plans to renovate the lot into a new facility.

WALLINGFORD, CT -- Wallingford Wine & Spirit Co. on Route 5 has closed and Metro Tools will follow suit as the orthopedic group that purchased the building housing both businesses two years ago plans to develop the property for a new medical facility, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists, which purchased the 701 North Colony Road property for $1.35 million in 2014, plans to renovate the 15,000 square-foot building into a modern medical facility.
The lease for both businesses ends in March and while the liquor store has closed, Metro Tools was open on Wednesday but is expected to be out of the building by the end of the month, according to the Record-Journal.
