Wallingford Little League To Host Annual Family Night Event

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Little League will host its fourth annual Family Night on Saturday, May 26 at Community Lake Field (291 Hall Avenue). The night of fun brings together players from teams throughout all of the league’s divisions. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. Read more details from Wallingford Little League below:
6 p.m. – Pregame ceremonies:
Celebration to honor the coaches and players from last year's 11-year-old District All-Star team and 12-year-old District All Star team, each of which advanced to the state Little League championships.

National Anthem with Color Guard presented by representatives of VFW Post 591.
First Pitch by representatives of sponsors Dairy Queen and VFW Post 591.

6:30 p.m. – Featured Majors game between Dairy Queen and VFW
Annual Wood Bat Game – All players will use wood bats
8:15 p.m. (after the game) – 12-year-old graduation ceremony
12-year-old Walk of Fame Graduation Ceremony where the league’s 12-year-old players (who have played 5 or more years in WLL) will receive their Walk of Fame Certificate.
The grill will be hot and treats will be served all night (all proceeds go back to Wallingford Little League). This year there will also be free face painting and temporary tattoos for the kids.
