Wallingford Little Leaguers Advance to State Championship Game
Wallingford, which is looking to win the league's first state title since 1979, plays Saturday night for a chance at the title: BREAKING

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Little League 9-10 All-Star team will play for a state championship Saturday night in Waterford.
Wallingford, which improved to 13-1 in the postseason with a 7-0 victory over Mystic on Thursday, faces Trumbull at 7 p.m. at Gardiners Wood Road Patterson Field.
Wallingford beat Trumbull American 12-2 on Wednesday in the double-elimination tournament. If Trumbull wins, the two teams will play again on Sunday in a winner-take-all matchup.

If Wallingford wins, they will become the first Wallingford Little League team since 1979 to win a state title.
Wallingford advanced to the title game with Thursday’s 7-0 win over Mystic. Kevin Mitchell and Kevin Milewski combined on the shutout while Owen Rich went 4-for-4, including an inside-the-park home run, to lead the offense, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

Directions to Waterford LL (Gardiners Wood Road) - Take I-91S to I-95N to Exit 72 (Rocky Neck State Park). At the end of the connector, turn left onto Rt. 156 east. Follow Rt. 156 for 4.8 miles to intersection with Gardiners Wood Rd. Turn right and follow Gardiners Wood Road for 1/2 mile - the fields will be on your right.
