Wallingford Man Broke In, Stole From Victims: Naugatuck Police
Police say among the items stolen were wine bottles.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Wallingford man is accused of stealing from a Naugatuck family that had previously hired him to perform landscaping work at their house, police said.
Police said David Ruiz, 36, of Williams Street in Wallingford, turned himself in on an arrest warrant last week for a burglary that occurred back on June 23, 2013. Ruiz is accused of entering the victim's house and stole equipment, jewelry and wine bottles, police said.
He had been hired by the victim's to do landscaping work at the house, police said. He was charged with third-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. Ruiz was initially given a $10,000 bond.
