Wallingford Men Charged with Making Fake 911 Calls

Two men allegedly made a series of phony 911 calls from pay phones.

Wallingford Police say two town men made a series of fake 911 calls from pay phones over the past month, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Ryan Olson, 27, of 2 Heritage Woods, and Giovanni Tancredi, 27, of 40 South Cherry Street, were arrested on Sept. 11 and are due in court this week.

The men allegedly made 911 calls from pay phones, wouldn’t speak when police answered and then left the phone dangling, which would force an officer to respond to the scene, according to the Record-Journal.
