Wallingford Native Earns All-Region Women’s Track & Field Honor
The top five individuals and members of the top three ranked relays from each region collected all-region recognition.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford’s Betsy Overstrum, a junior on the Hamilton College women’s track and field team, recently earned all-region honors.
Overstrum, a Choate Rosemary Hall graduate, earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors for the 2022 NCAA Division III outdoor track & field season.
The top five individuals and members of the top three ranked relays from each region collected all-region recognition, according to a news release. The all-region honor is the first for Overstrum.

Overstrum ranked fourth in the Niagara Region for the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-record time of 11:40.67. She accomplished the feat in the 2022 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships held at Moravian University's Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field on May 18. She finished in sixth place at the meet.
