Wallingford Police Collect Supplies For Start Of School Year
Police received an anonymous $400 donation of school supplies and collected $340 in cash during its recent school supply drive.
WALLINGFORD, CT — An anonymous donor donated nearly $400 worth of school supplies during the Wallingford Police Department’s recent school supply drive.
The police department also collected $340 in cash that was used to buy tissues and disinfectant wipes.

“The Wallingford Police Department would like to extend its gratitude to all of the people who donated school supplies during our School Supply Drive on August 14, 2021. We would like to extend a special thank you to an anonymous donor who donated almost $400 worth of school supplies for the students of Wallingford. The police department was also able to collect $340 in cash which was used to buy tissues and disinfecting wipes for the teachers to keep them and their students safe as they head back to school during the COVID-19 pandemic. The school supplies will be distributed to the Wallingford Schools before the first day of school.
“Last but certainly not least, the Wallingford Police Department would also like to thank and extend our appreciation to Walmart for hosting us and allowing us to set up in front of their store. The Wallingford Police Department and Walmart have worked together numerous times in the past and look forward to continue working together in the future.
