Wallingford Public Schools Adjust Schedule For Tuesday
It will feel like 100 degrees on Tuesday.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Due to a forecasted heat index of 99 degrees, Wallingford Public Schools will have a two-hour early dismissal on Tuesday, Sept. 4, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sal Menzo announced on Tuesday morning.
“I apologize for the inconvenience and disruption to schedules, but student/staff safety are the first priority,” Menzo wrote in a post on Twitter.
After school activities, including YMCA and middle school sports, are cancelled for Tuesday. Menzo said modified high school athletic practices and marching band rehearsals may be held. To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.

“Information will come from the coaches or band directors as provisions are being made to ensure the safety of all students,” Menzo said in an email to parents.
