Wallingford Resident Named To Soccer Coaches’ All-Region Team

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford’s Kelsey Burr, a graduate student on the Southern Connecticut State University women’s soccer team, was named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region team, officials announced Friday.

Burr, a Sheehan High School graduate, was also selected to the NEWISA Senior Bowl and 2023 All-Northeast-10 First Team honors.

This season, Burr started all 17 games for the Owls and led the team with 12 goals scored for the second-highest tally in the conference. She also finished third in assists on the team with three assists on the year.

Burr finished her SCSU career with 24 goals and nine assists for 57 points, with 11 game-winning goals. She is a two-time All-NE10 pick and a two-time NEWISA All-New England pick.
