Wallingford Salon Raises Funds For Boy, 7, Battling Brain Cancer
The salon held a fundraising "cut-a-thon" event on Sunday.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Serenity Salon & Day Spa in Wallingford raised more than $5,500 for a local 7-year-old boy battling brain cancer with a “cut-a-thon” event on Sunday, according to NBC Connecticut.
NBC reports the salon did more than 50 haircuts on Sunday to raise the funds in support of Collin Reilly, who has been battling brain tumors since he was a baby and was left blind by a procedure years ago.
The ultimate goal of the event was to help Collin receive the help he needs so that he will no longer depend on a feeding tube for nourishment, according to NBC. He hasn’t been able to eat solid food since he was about 6 months old.
