Wallingford Teacher Serves Jail Time, Placed on Paid Leave: Report
An elementary school teacher reportedly spent time in prison over the summer for a DUI conviction: BREAKING

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford elementary school teacher was released from prison last week after being convicted of reckless endangerment and driving under the influence and has been placed on paid leave as school officials gather more information on the case, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Meriden Record-Journal reports Theresa Winkel, 53, a fifth-grade teacher at Parker Farms Elementary School, pleaded guilty to the charges last December for an arrest that occurred in Wallingford on Aug. 31, 2014.
Winkel has worked in the school district since 1994 and earns $92,247, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
