Wallingford Vikings Cheer Team Wins Regional Championship

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Vikings D-14 competition cheer team took first place at the New England Regional Cheer Championships in New Hampshire on Saturday, Nov. 17. With the win, the girls qualified to compete at the AYC National Championship in Kissimmee, Florida on Saturday, Dec. 8. The competition is a two-day event to qualify for the top five spots to the finals.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help fund as much of the cost of travel for the cheerleaders and coaches as possible, according to officials. The fundraiser is being sponsored by the Wallingford Vikings Football & Cheer Board of Directors.
