Wallingford Woman Accused of Stealing $10 from Children in Meriden

Tabitha Lepack, 34, allegedly took money the children said their grandmother gave them to buy soda.

A Wallingford woman is accused of stealing $10 from two children who said their grandmother had given them the money to buy soda Sunday in Meriden, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

Tabitha Lepack, 34, of 224 South Whittlesey Avenue, was arrested on charges of second-degree larceny, third-degree robbery and risk of injury to a minor.

The Record-Journal reports that the children told police that they had dropped the money and when they picked it up, Lepack grabbed it from their hands and ran away.

Lepack, who was eventually located at an apartment building, told police that she lost money in the area and when she saw the boy with the money, he willingly gave it her, according to the Record-Journal.
