Wallingford Workcamp Seeks Homes To Repair

The goal of the Workcamp is to help those in need in the Wallingford area. Labor and materials are free to qualifying homeowners.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Workcamp 2026, a project of First Congregational Church of Wallingford and Group Workcamps Home Repair, is seeking homes to repair the week of June 29 – July 3, 2026.

“The goal of the Workcamp is to help those in need in the Wallingford area,” according to a news release. “Both labor and materials are free to qualifying homeowners, which includes the elderly, disabled, low-income or veterans.”

During the week of June 29 – July 3, youth groups with adult volunteers from across the country will perform hands-on, home repair projects. The homeowner or an adult representative must be present during repairs.

Eligible repair projects are exterior or interior painting, mobile home skirting, step repair, wheelchair ramp repair/construction, porch repair/construction, and roofing (no tear-offs).

The work area includes homes within a 30-minute drive to Sheehan High School, where volunteers will be staying for the week.
