Preparing for Successful Employment: Pre-K Through Adulthood

26th Annual Bridging Communities Conference on Autism
Parents, Educators, Service Professionals – there is still time to register for this training on the SCSU campus on March 18 & 19. Carol Gray, creator of Social Stories™, is bringing us a brand new presentation – NOT a Social Stories Workshop – but how to use the philosophies of Social Stories practical techniques throughout the school career and into employment environments. Barbara Bissonnette, a seasoned expert in preparing individuals for the workplace, and “Speaker from the Spectrum” John Miller, author of Decoding Dating will also be keynoting. Workshop schedule includes two Breakout Session opportunities on Friday, 8:00am open to 3:45pm conclusion; Saturday, 8:00am open to 4:00pm conclusion. Workshop on Transition Planning
Central CT Support Group Presentation

Join us on Monday, March 28 at the ASRC office in Wallingford, 6-8:00 pm, for a special presentation by consultant Carol Barans. The focus will be on helping families improve transition planning in order to develop independence and employability for teens and adults with ASD. This is a free presentation, but registration is required.

Traditional support-style groups meet monthly at our Wallingford office. Men’s, Women’s groups for ages mid-20’s to mid-30’s, and a Mixed Adults Group, 35 years and up (includes marrieds!). Contact for more information and placement!
