Wallingford's Historic Center Street Cemetery Needs Protection from Vandals: Report
Security measures are under consideration to protect the cemetery, which dates back to 1683.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Vandals keep desecrating headstones at Wallingford's historic Center Street Cemetery, which has prompted town officials to consider upgrading security measures to protect it.
The cemetery dates back to 1683, writes WTNH-TV, so protecting it is becoming a priority. To do so, the town is considering installing surveillance cameras.
At issue is how to power the cameras, because the cemetery lacks electricity. Officials will discuss the matter this evening at a Town Council meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Robert F. Parisi Town Council Chambers at Town Hall.
