Wallingford's Soriano Helps Lift SCSU Men's Soccer Over Nationally Ranked LIU-Post

Wallingford’s Alex Soriano (a Sheehan graduate) helped lift the Southern Connecticut State University men’s soccer team to a season-opening 1-0 victory over LIU-Post, ranked eighth in the nation, Thursday in Garden City, New York.
Kevin Joslyn, of Norwalk, scored just 72 seconds into play for the only goal of the match.
Joslyn’s goal was a header that came off a cross from fellow sophomore Soriano.

Goalkeeper Noah Veronier turned away all four shots on goal that he faced to post the shutout.
