Wanted Men Arrested In Shoplifting At Lowe’s: Wallingford Police

Two men with active arrest warrants were charged in connection with a shoplifting at Lowe's, while the getaway drive fled the scene: Police

WALLINGFORD, CT — Two New York men who were wanted on arrest warrants out of New Hampshire were arrested in connection with shoplifting from Lowe’s in Wallingford on Thursday, according to police.

Police responded to Lowe’s at 1094 North Colony Rd. on March 16 on the report of a shoplifting-in-progress involving two men, a driver, and a getaway vehicle, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said officers quickly found one of the suspects, who was leaving the store after not paying for several items. The man initially refused to comply with the officer’s orders, but was quickly placed into custody, according to Jaques.

The second man was arrested leaving the store a short time later without incident, Jaques said.

The getaway driver left in a white GMC Acadia with NY registration KBT3518 and wasn’t found, according to Jaques.

Jalil McIntyre, 31, of Jamaica, New York, and Deshun Jackson, 23, of Brooklyn, New York, were both arrested. They were both determined to have extraditable arrest warrants out of New Hampshire, according to Jaques.

Jackson was charged with fifth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer, and fugitive from justice. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

McIntyre was charged with conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and fugitive from justice. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
