Water Main Break Affects Businesses In Wallingford

UPDATE: The water main break has been repaired, and water services have been restored to the area, according to Cori Hass, administrative aide to Mayor Vincent Cervoni.

(Original post) WALLINGFORD, CT — Crews are repairing a water main break that has affected several businesses on Route 5 in Wallingford on Monday morning.

Dad’s Restaurant, located at 740 North Colony Road, announced Monday morning that it would be closed for the day due to the water main break.

Officials told Dad’s that it could be 12 noon before the water main break is fixed, according to a post on Facebook.

The post said that the water main break is affecting businesses from Walmart down past McDonald’s on Route 5.

WFSB 3 reports the break happened at some point on Sunday night.
