Water Main Break Closes Section Of Route 5 In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — A water main break has closed a portion of Route 5 in Wallingford. North Colony Road (Route 5) is closed in both directions between Cedar Lane and Center Street, according to the state DOT.

Due to the closure, motorists are advised to follow the posted detour. Take Route 5 to Cedar Lane, to North Main Street to Center Street back to Route 5.

The closure is expected to be in effect for several hours, according to the DOT.
