Work Delays to Impact Lyman Hall Track Team

The resurfacing of the track at the school's new athletic complex faces a delay.

The Lyman Hall track team will host its home meets at Sheehan High School again this spring, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that work to apply a new surface to the school’s track will be delayed until June after the Board of Education decided on Monday to complete the work over the summer break.

The school board’s other option, according to the Record-Journal, would have been to complete the work during the spring but that would have prevented the track team and other teams from using the refurbished athletic complex.
