Gear up for the second year of one of Greater Waterbury’s most joyful community traditions – Trike Race 2026! Back for its sophomore year, this adult trike race builds on the excitement of 2025 with a bold new theme: Moments in Time. Businesses, community groups, families, and friends are invited to race, cheer, and celebrate while creating unforgettable moments inspired by past decades and eras. From costumes and trike décor to music and movement, this is a race that brings time to life. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Greater Waterbury Community Care Fund, advancing equity and measurable outcomes across our three focus areas: Education, Financial Stability, and Basic Needs. Every ride helps keep our community moving forward.

Celebrated for his masterful leadership of the Zaccai Curtis Quintet and Sonido Solar, Curtis earned the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album and continues to push musical boundaries with his highly anticipated 2025 release, Sonoluminescence. A visionary artist and co-founder of the TRRcollective label, Curtis has collaborated with legends including Santana, Eddie Palmieri, Christian Scott, and Donald Harrison. His innovative compositions and arrangements have earned him three ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards and prestigious grants, while his educational impact reaches students at the University of Hartford and Western Connecticut State University. A compelling performer and prolific composer, Curtis embodies the vibrant spirit of modern jazz — blending tradition and innovation to create a sound that captivates and inspires audiences worldwide. This event is free of charge and open to the public. A free-will donation will be accepted.</h2>
