2 Charged After Waterford Drug Raid: Police

Police say they executed a search warrant at a residence on Sound View Drive Wednesday.

WATERFORD, CT — Police on Wednesday raided a residence at 5 Sound View Dr. and seized narcotics, packaging, a cutting agent and a scale.

Police executed the search and seizure warrant after months of investigating reports of possible drug activity there, police said, in a press release.

Police had an active arrest warrant for an occupant of the residence for previous drug-related activity.

The department arrested two people who live at 5 Sound View Dr. following Wednesday’s raid.

David Todaro, 39, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, Todaro had cocaine, clonazepam, amphetamine and dextroamphetamine in his possession. The prescription drugs were not prescribed to him, police said.

Todaro is due to appear in Superior Court in New London on March 27.

Janet Barilla, 39, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. She is due in court on April 9.
