2 Fatal Accidents, 993 Speeding Incidents Over Memorial Day Weekend
Connecticut State Police released the 2015 Memorial Day weekend enforcement statistics.

Troopers patrolled the highways and roads in Connecticut over this 2015 Memorial Day weekend, using both traditional and non-traditional patrol cars, according to a press release from Connecticut State Police.
The enforcement project began at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, May 25, and will end at 11:59 p.m. Monday, May 25. Troopers focused on drunken driving violations, aggressive drivers, distracted drivers and speeding.
Sobriety checkpoints and targeted DUI patrols were in place over the entire weekend.

- Seatbelt: 1,156
- Other Hazardous Moving Violations: 474 (Including unsafe lane changes, following too loosely, cell phone, texting, etc.)
