Road Reopens After Waterford Bus Collision: UPDATE
Police said six people were transported to the hospital after a SEAT bus collided with a vehicle.
WATERFORD, CT — Waterford firefighters said six people were transported to local hospitals after a vehicle and a SEAT bus collided Thursday morning. Firefighters said on Twitter the incident occurred on state Route 32, which was closed between Red Cedar Avenue and Maple Road but reopened around 12:15 p.m.
Firefighters said numerous ambulances from Waterford, New London and Montville were dispatched to the scene and transported six people to local hospitals. Firefighters said the road would remain closed while police conducted an accident investigation, and announced it had reopened around 12:15 p.m.
According to NBC Connecticut, both drivers and four other people who were on the bus were transported to the hospital after the collision. There were 12 passengers on the bus, according to police.

Police said it appeared the car, a Subaru, had turned left into Cumberland Farms and the bus was driving straight when the incident occurred, according to NBC Connecticut. Police said the car was dragged.
According to the New London Day, Police Lt. Dave Burton said the eight uninjured passengers were transferred to another bus. He also said the road was expected to be closed until about noon, and asked that travelers avoid the area.
